Melbourne’s Marc Polmans could have been excused for coming out flat and taking it easy in the doubles final of the ACT Clay Court International #2 doubles event. Earlier in the day, Polmans had played a tough three-set match to claim the singles title over Maverick Banes, this coming on the back of 13 singles and 6 doubles matches in Canberra over the past fortnight.
Polmans showed no sign of letting up, and fought hard alongside Bradley Mousley to win the doubles 6-4, 7-6. Their opponents on the day were Steven de Waard and Scott Puodziunas. Both doubles pairings had reached the semi-finals in the ACT Clay Court International #1 event held a week earlier.
