Bob Hawke photos

May 17, 2019 by Rob Keating

Just ahead of the 2019 federal election Australians were greeted with the sad news that Bob Hawke had died at the age of 89.

Hawke was Australia’s 23rd prime minister of Australia and Leader of the Labor Party from 1983 to 1991.

Over recent times Mr Hawke had visited Parliament House in Canberra for the launch of a biography about Anthony Albanese written by Karen Middleton.

Hawke also attended a book launch for Gareth Evans at the National Press Club of Australia to launch Professor Evans’ book “Incorrigible Optimist: A Political Memoir.”

On this page you can view a selection of photos from the two events.

And here is a video with the speech that Bob Hawke delivered at the Albanese book launch.
